Polokwane Tutors are proud to provide quality one-on-one home and online tuition. Our carefully selected tutors are passionate about assisting learners to achieve the best they can, whilst building their confidence, self-belief and enjoyment of learning.
Our quality tuition brings together experienced tutors and learners requiring additional one-on-one lessons. Home tuition offers the convenience of lessons being held in the learner’s home or school hostel in Polokwane, whilst online tuition offers the convenience of lessons being able to take place anywhere in South Africa with a reliable internet connection. Tuition is available for learners of all grades.
Experienced Tutors
All of our tutors have previous experience of one-on-one tutoring and/or are qualified, experienced classroom teachers. Our tutors are passionate about helping their Polokwane Tutors learners succeed with their academics, grow their self-confidence, and enjoy learning.
Our tutors undergo a stringent 5 stage recruitment process to ensure we provide quality tutors. We interview applicant tutors twice, oberserve them tutoring a mini lesson, check their professional and character references and require yearly Afiswitch criminal record checks (checked against the SAPS database).
These thorough checks enable Polokwane Tutors to be confident that our tutors are of good character and best able to assist your child. We support this with our first lesson guarantee – if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your child’s tutor we will be happy to listen to your concerns and provide an alternative tutor.
We work with clients if any concerns are raised with the option to remedy it with the tutor or provide a replacement tutor. We also understand sometimes a learner does not gel with their tutor and providing a new tutor with a different tutoring style or personality is the best solution.
Individualised Tuition Lessons
One-on-one tuition enables the tutor to focus on the specific areas of each subject that your child struggles with at school, or the areas they want to advance further with. The tutor will provide them with the individual attention a class teacher is unable to provide with a room full of learners and without the distractions found in an ordinary classroom environment.
One-on-one tuition lessons focus on what your child requires.
This can include:
- Support understanding the topics they lack confidence with
- Support to excel in the subjects they may already be passing well in
- Homework and project support
- Exam preparation
- Study skills
Our tutors attend lessons with prepared lesson materials, keep a detailed record of the work covered on their timesheet and complete monthly progress reports.
Local Support from Polokwane Tutors
Polokwane Tutors believes in establishing and maintaining good communication with our clients. Following initial contact a home or video call consultation will be scheduled to discuss your child’s requirements face to face. This consultation enables Polokwane Tutors to assign the best-suited tutor for your child and answer any questions you may have.
Once tuition has begun, Polokwane Tutors will keep in touch with the client and we are just a call, WhatsApp or an email away if you have any questions or concerns.

Affordable, Convenient Tuition
Lesson schedules are tailored around your child and their other extra-curricular activities, with tutors available 7 days a week to provide one-on-one tuition at a time convenient for the learner. For home tuition our tutors travel to the learner at their home or school hostel (with permission from the school). The travel charge is included in the lesson rate. Online tuition lessons take place via Skype video calls with the benefit of the lesson recording being available for the learner to review and revise the lesson content. Both tuition options allow lessons to take place to conduct lessons in the safety and comfort of their the learner’s own home or child’s school hostel, avoiding the inconvenience of transporting your child to another location.
